The
E-AAP body and exterior pockets
are constructed of #1000 denier
abrasion and water-resistant
Cordura®
nylon. With features like
elastic to hold pop flares
secure, and a flap to hold a
radio in place, the side pockets
are designed for carrying a
multitude of items. All side
pockets are fitted with 1" mil.
Spec. Cordura®
webbing and side release buckles
for extra wear resistance and
less chance of unwanted buckle
slide. All side release buckles
are 1", making them easier to
open than 3/4" buckles. The
handle, which doubles as the
parachute harness connector
straps, is a 1 3/4", 7000 lb.
tensile strength, mil. Spec.
Type 13 webbing. The
handle/connector strap is sewn
to the top and all the way
around the sides with 5 cord
thread on a class seven machine,
other manufacturers sew theirs
with a simple 2" box "x" and
standard size thread. The 1 3/4"
Type 13 is the actual width of
the parachute harness hardware,
giving you a true, secure
hook-up. The connector straps
are stowed under the side
pockets with a webbing flap and
a side release buckle. The main
compartment has a #10 YKK®
zipper that runs around the top
of the bag and down both sides
for ease of loading and getting
to items at the bottom of the
ruck. The top of the pack has
reinforced holes, with a Cordura®
and Velcro®
flap, for radio antennas and
wire routing. The top also has
ONE-WRAP hook and loop to hold
the side release buckles out of
the way when not in use. The
inside is equipped with two
horizontal, and two vertical
cinch straps with side release
buckles, for securing items
inside your ruck. The bottom is
set up with a Cordura®
bottom patch, used to route the
bottom lash down straps, and a
lowering line storage pocket.
The bottom patch is designed to
spread the lash down straps a
good distance apart to make the
equipment you attach to the
bottom more balanced and
controllable. The lowering line
storage will accommodate an
eight-foot or sixteen-foot
lowering line (lowering line
sold separately). There are
webbing loops on the back to
guide the lowering line with
rubber bands. The shoulder
straps are placed as far apart
as possible to make the pack
more comfortable around the neck
and shoulder area. The straps
also have double metal "D"-rings
and webbing loops, for routing
and attaching extra equipment,
and a fully adjustable sternum
strap to help make the load more
bearable.
• All zippers have paracord pulls for
noise suppression .
• All pockets and compartments
are fitted with "O" grommets
for drainage.
