Anybody who has done much traveling into the
backcountry, or just wants to be prepared in
case of natural disaster, medical emergency,
or inclement weather has put together a few
survival items and tossed them in the car or
cabin. Either that or you've always
meant to.
Although you have the best of intentions,
usually when problems arise people find the
few things they tossed in their bag to be
severely lacking in some essential pieces of
gear.
We at Blue Line Gear have put together a few
different packs that we believe contain
everything you need to sustain yourself
effortlessly for several days... even weeks
without help. Even if you're not
trained extensively in outdoors survival, the contents
of any of these kits will allow you to make
due in almost any situation long enough for
you to find help.
From the start what we didn't want was some
CPC (Cheap Plastic Crap) in a bottle labeled
"survival kit" like you find at the local
surplus shop. We spent considerable
time and effort evaluating different
components of these kits and we're confident
that you will find any of the kits a good
value packed with life-saving equipment.
Each kit contains essential items like a
quality First Aid Kit from Adventure Medical
Kits, Pocket Survival Kit, Sure Fire Light
(with spare bulb and batteries), Emergency
blanket, Zipfizz Energy Drink, and water
reservoir.
The
Extreme pack even contains other
provisions including an emergency stove, cup
to boil and collect water in, and
even great tasting individual Mountain House Freeze
Dried food packs.
Each kit is packed in a high quality Eagle
E-n-E bag or an Eagle Recon Hydro backpack.
The idea behind a difference in packs is
that the E-n-E packs just fit their
respective kits, and the Recon pack will
be a little more compact since your getting
slightly less amenities with the standard
kit.
